Kimberly Krubeck, DDS
I wanted to be a dentist since the age of 9.
I would constantly ask my mom to take me to see our dentist, Dr. Bear in Lombard.
I think she was worried that there was something wrong with me.
For my 7th grade science experiment, I used extracted teeth from Dr. Bear and soaked them in Coke, orange juice, milk and water. The teeth in the coke dissolved within several days! as a result i have been an outspoken advocate against soda pop knowing the harm that it causes to the teeth and overall health.
I love being a dentist! I became a dental assistant at 18, finished the 4 year dental hygiene program at Loyola University of Chicago in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene graduating Cum Laude, and received the coveted Dental Hygiene Basic Science Award in 1980. In 1985, I was inducted as a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society.
I worked as a dental hygienist 4 days a week for Suburban Periodontics in Arlington Heights ( for 25 years) and as a dental assistant for Dr. Lee Schwartz on Thursdays in Oak Park for 7 years. As a dental assistant, Dr. Schwartz taught me all about dentistry before I entered dental school in 1987. I graduated from the University of Illinois Dental School at Chicago in 1991 and received a Certificate of Merit from the American Society of Dentistry for Children for outstanding proficiency in dentistry for children as an undergraduate student.
Upon graduation in 1991 I opened my own dental practice, renting a room from the very kind and generous Dr. Gregory Strobel at 25 E. Washington...... building my practice one patient at a time. In 2005, I was blessed with the opportunity to build out my own dental practice at 25 E. Washington Street Suite 1919.
I am a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and have received prestigous recognition in the " Guide to America's Top Dentists" for 2005, 2010, and 2011.
I thoroughly enjoy the creative and technical aspects of dentistry. As an added bonus and what is very meaningful to me as well is the personal aspect of the doctor-patient relationship....getting to know the people I care for and building relationships that last for many years. Whether your needs are for simple general dentistry to keep your smile healthy or state of the art care to improve the look and function of your smile, you can always trust that i will try my best and do what is right for you. Every treatment plan is tailored specifically for your individual needs.
